ENCRUSTED EWER

Another recent find, and somewhat similar to the example provided by Reg (shown above) is this beautifully decorated ewer, the difference being the painted scenery and the square base.

DANIEL SCENT BOTTLES

I have recently been given permission to photograph these three scent bottles. As you can see, the blue scent bottle in the middle has the usual elligance of Daniel pieces with its shell base and spurr handle. On this occasion it is flanked by two encrusted minatures. My initial thought was that they must have been made by another manufacturer, but on closer inspection I began to have my doubts. When comparing the spouts of the three, the similarities are just to great between the two outer examples and the known Daniel form. The base on the two outer examples does however differ with the shells being painted rather than moulded. I would love to know your thoughts.
